    Mon 06 Nov 2023

Our School Council Representatives have met to plan exciting fundraising events at Knights Templar. We are going to get energised and healthy whilst raising money!

Every class will have a Children in Need lesson where they will learn about the ways that Children in Need supports children in the UK.  They will also learn about the children taking part in the BBC Rickshaw challenge this year.  During this lesson, the class will have their own “Rickshaw” challenge using scooters or bikes.  The challenge will be to keep the scooter in motion around the playground for the whole lesson.  Helmets will be provided for the children during this activity.  If your child brings their bike or scooter to school they may use this for the challenge – they can also wear their own helmet.

There will also be a Pudsey Bear Colouring Competition which the children will complete in their Children in Need lesson at school – one Pudsey Bear prize will be awarded to a winner from each class.  The winners will be announced in our special Children in Need assembly on Friday 17th November.

On Friday 17th November, we are inviting children to come to school dressed in spotty and stripy sporty clothes.  There will be a special whole school assembly led by the School Council.  In this assembly, the whole school will take part in:

    • PE Warm-up led by our fantastic PE volunteer – Mr Abbott
    • The Pudsey Bearpees (otherwise known as Burpees!) Challenge
    • Children in Need Conga

The staff at Knights Templar will have a sporty challenge that day.  They will be trying to keep an exercise bike in motion for the entire school day starting in our 9am assembly!

Raising money for Children in Need can make a huge difference to children and young people in our local area, in the UK and the world as a whole.  We are always very grateful for the support of our Knights Templar families as we raise money to help others.  Please send your donation to the Children in Need charity on Friday 17th November.

    Kind regards,

    The Knights Templar School Council
