In line with new Government measures, from today (Friday 27 March), the school office will no longer be manned and staff will be working from home.
If both parents are key workers, and need to make contact with the school regarding your childcare needs - please email knightstemplar@educ.somerset.gov.uk as soon as you know your shifts for the week going forward. Please state if you require a packed lunch for your child provided for the school, at a cost of £2.60 per day.
Staff can be contacted for support and guidance regarding home learning on our school website, using the comment box on each class page (under the parent tab and class pages). Please allow staff at least 48 working hours to respond.
In the case of an emergency, please contact 07852 196 493 during school hours. This will be checked regularly.
We cannot guarantee messages left on the normal school office number will be listened to over the course of the partial school closure due to staffing restrictions.
Thank you and stay safe,
Knights Templar Community Church School
Dear Parents and Carers,
Our Easter celebrations with the school have had to be curtailed as a result of the Virus. I hope you will enjoy the video called The Seriously Surprising Story and the quiz. These are challenging times for us all. Yet Easter reminds us that even in the darkest times there’s hope just around the corner!

Further to yesterday's letter we are writing to update you about the current situation in school.
As of Monday 23 March, all extra curricular clubs, both during the school day and after school, will be cancelled for the foreseeable future.
We will endeavour to keep Parrot Club open for breakfast and after school club, but we hope you can appreciate this will be subject to us being able to staff it adequately.
We have restricted visitors to the school site - these measures are to safeguard both visitors and children.
School photographs for Reception and Year 4 will be postponed, as will the Reception height and weight check. We will advise on the Kilve Court trip to Year 4 as soon as we know more.
The Easter Service at St Decumans on Friday 3 April is unfortunately cancelled, as are any off site visits.
Please see the KTSCA Facebook page for information on their upcoming events.
At 5pm we are expecting the Education Minister to give more details regarding schools in England, and we will be able to update you further tomorrow.
Thank you
