“Be the best they can be, with a thirst for learning,
a zest for living and a spirit of kindness.”
Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
Pupil Premium Funding
Knights Templar Church School is committed to using the Pupil Premium money to compensate children who are disadvantaged through lack of finances or more vulnerable due to the family background. The aim of Pupil Premium funding is to accelerate progress and increase attainment for those who are, or have been, eligible for Free School Meals, are ‘looked after’ children or who have a parent in the armed forces.
Annually, the needs of the individual pupil premium children are considered to pinpoint how best to improve progress or how to broaden their opportunities and experiences.
The various aspects that are considered are:
~ engagement with learning;
~ social and emotional development;
~ attainment in core skills of English and maths
~ experiences and opportunities that may improve aspiration
The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) then use research (Education Endowment Trust), in-school past impact measures, parallel schools’ actions to consider best use of Pupil Premium funding for the following academic year.
