Rainbow Garden Project

Can we say a HUGE thank you to the volunteer parents and staff who worked all day on Wednesday and built the new raised beds in our Rainbow Garden!

We had a great time learning to use an angle grinder and circular saw and screwing the scaffold boards together to make the raised beds, under the expert supervision of Fred Powis who very kindly brought along all the tools required - thank you Fred! We were joined by Katie from The Co-op, who came to help out, and parents from Knights Templar and Little Vikings who all worked non-stop to get the beds made. Thanks to Jess, Kate, Tanya and Karl, it is stunning how much was achieved in a short space of time!

Thank you also to Lisa Sherrin, Sharron Perkins, Marina Mees and David Frowde for the smashing refreshments that kept us going through the day, it was very much appreciated!

Co-op have made this project a reality through their community funding which is currently being raised for the Rainbow Garden in the the two Watchet and Williton stores. If you haven't already done so, please consider visiting Co-op's website and selecting our school as your choice for the community cashback raised through the Co-op card.

We will be planning another work day soon, probably on a Saturday, when we will be building the compost bins and putting up the shed and would love as many people as possible to get involved and help our school grow!
