One of our teachers, Mrs Mavis Collinson from Class Four, together with visiting tutor Mrs Sheena Demaris of Adult Learning and Leisure help family learning groups throughout the spring and summer terms. The group, made up from Reception Class parents, meet on a weekly basis to discuss how children learn and how to help and support them in literacy and numeracy.

The group works and meets with both the parents and the pupils, depending on the programme of the day, and has several trips and excursions away from the school.
