Aims
The school aims to promote the spiritual, cultural, mental and physical growth of pupils, and it aims to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. (Education Act of 1988)
In addition we aim :
- to enable children to develop to their full potential, in all aspects of the curriculum, and to recognise and cater for their particular strengths
- to help children of all abilities to develop lively, enquiring minds, independent learning skills and a desire to learn.
- to ensure the teaching of Basic Skills and learning skills is effective throughout the school and that children learn good communication and numeracy skills that will allow them to take advantage of the wider curriculum.
to help children to live together in a caring community, concerned for each other's well being, and able to forge good relationships- to develop in children a sense of moral responsibility and self discipline and understanding of their cultures, religions and ways of life.
