Parrot Club
Do you know about the activities in the Parrot Club?
Our popular out of school hours activity club is run for ages 3 to 13 and is held before and after school, and during the school holidays.
We run something for everyone from cookery, Forest School, Explorers to crafts, ICT, and a range of other fun activities. Your child can join in for one off sessions or for a regular afternoon. The warm homely atmosphere gives the children a chance to relax, have a snack and take part in a fun activity. The length of time spent in the club is up to you with the minimum session in the afternoons being until 4.30 and then the chance to extend it up until 5.30 pm.
Don’t forget the mornings too! Breakfast in a warm and relaxed manner which will set your child up for the day.
The programme for the Easter and Summer holidays promises days out to explore, swimming, music clubs, bike rides – pop down to Parrot Club to see what’s on offer and find out more details from Lisa Sherrin. |

The club is usually in big demand and is regularly requested to
perform at the school's May Fayre, Halsway Manor, Area Sports, for
Senior Citizens, and even on a cold winters night for the Traders

Watchet Otters
Swimming Club run by outside providers:
OTTERS is a swimming school which has been teaching swimming at KT pool for some 17 years and have over 250 children and adults in our programme. Our youngest can be 2 years to 16 years plus and we run 2 adult sessions as well. Our aim, besides teaching a child/adult to swim and improve their stroke and technique, is to enjoy the water and benefits associated with the water.
We have 8 qualified A.S.A. teachers who work with Otters who have their own expertise from Colin Christmas with vast experience with club coaching/tutoring/teaching to our newly qualified level one who is 16 years old and is delivering fun sessions.
We teach Tuesdays 3.40 - 5 p.m., Wednesdays 3.40 to 9 p.m., Fridays 3.40 - 5 p.m and Saturday 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. The cost is £4.25 for a 35/40 minute session. Please contact Liz Stewart on 01984 634699 or 07825018630 |
| Swimming
The school
is highly successful in its attempt to teach nearly all of its children
to swim, a 99% success rate with pupils who commence their schooling
in Watchet; this is very important as we live by the sea. The school
has some excellent clubs who hold training sessions after school
(names and telephone numbers available in the office) but the school
offers a full coaching programme with a professional coach from
reception age onwards.
In 2011 the school held a swimathon to raise funds for the super new extension. This is now available for bookings.
(The School Pool is used seven days a week and can be hired by groups, clubs and for parties, the new extension is also available for similar functions, meeting etc, contact Knights Templar School on 01984 634385 for details)

| Gardening
Club
A small group of gardeners meet with Mr and Mrs Carslake weekly throughout the year. The Key Stage Two club has had many successes from establishing a fully stocked pond and viewing platform, redesigning the flower bed on the roundabout, to growing large amounts of fruit and vegetables from its own allotment on the far field. The club even has its own embroidered gardening overalls.
